Installing firmware on the Andromeda is very easy.
Please read the Disclaimer before proceeding.
1. Ensure the synthesizer has a reliable MIDI connection to your computer.
2. Download the firmware.
3. Restart your Andromeda and, on boot, hold the 7th soft grey button under the screen. This will put it into bootloading mode.
4. Push the 'store' button, this will put the Andromeda into "receive firmware" mode.
5. From here on it is important to NOT lose power to your Andromeda. Ensure it is safe to run the transfer. Run the SysEx file. It should have a little menu to select your MIDI output and run the SysEx transfer. (You may need a SysEx librarian to send on macOS.)
6. You should see the transfer in progress on the screen. If not, repeat the earlier steps. The transfer can take up to 10 minutes; when it is finished, the screen will prompt you to press any button to write to flash, do so. Again, do not turn off the synthesizer.
7. Now the synthesizer will tell you to set the Mod Wheel to minimum, do this, and let it calibrate.
8. You should be good to go!
If anything ever goes wrong for example, your synth freezes or crashes, please load into the bootloader again and reload the original stock firmware.
